Storm of Deceit
A young 16 year old Kyla Holburn mysteriously goes missing on a Sunday evening after she walked to her ex-boyfriends apartment to drop off a cat.
Her Mother waited at home and as each minute turned into hours the gnawning pain of not knowing the where-abouts of her daughter was becoming unbearable.
On Monday January 3, 2005 Kyla's Mother, Sarah and her eldest Sister, Alyssa, began a car search; with a cell phone they called anyone and everyone who knew her.
A call to Shane's Father made Alyssa and Sarah rethink their steps, after the Father denied, ever knowing Kyla. What was he saying; he had known Kyla for the past two years while she dated his Son Shane. A visit to the Father's home, would only be the beginning of an investigation that would lead her 15 minutes out of town, where Sarah finally called Police and turned in her Daughter's Identification Booklet.
Throughout the entire evening of her search, Sarah and Alyssa thought it was possible that Shane was hiding her out somewhere; maybe they had got her so high she needed to sleep it off. Not ever did Sarah think about DEATH or that her Daughter would be in danger; but that changed when Homicide Detectives knocked on her door at 1:25 am to tell Sarah her Daughter has been dumped next to a garbage dumpster. She was DECEASED.
